This quilt was made by Di Gorringe of Molong for her sister's birthday. It is heavily quilted with continuous curves and lots of feathers. The wadding is Hobbs bleached 80:20. |

This quilt was made by Rhonda Holmes of Nyngan from a BOM called Oriental Baltimore by Leesa Chandler of Chandler's Cottage (www.chandlerscottage.com), and to Rhonda's delight was awarded a Champion Ribbon at the Nyngan Show this past weekend. It is 3D, so the quilting had to be modified so the foot wouldn't get caught on the fabric, and it has leaves and swirly designs in the black and frosted cream fabrics. |

This quilt belongs to Jennifer Corkish it is hand appliquéd and machine pieced; and is freehand quilted with feathers, continuous curves, leaves and curvy parallel lines. |

This quilt belongs to Ann Farrell of Orange and was made using lots of scrap browns and background fabrics. The coloured squares are quilted using a swirly line dancing design, and the large strips of background are heavily feathered and then settled down with parallel lines! I really like these curling feathers and they work very nicely in larger spaces. |

"Definitely Floored" by Ann Visman of Orange. The design was drafted and made from a photo taken of piece of a parquetry floor. It was very heavily quilted with feathers and arcs. It was juried into the 2007 AQS Paducah show as a semi-finalist, and won equal first in the Australian Machine Quilting Exhibition in Victoria (as part of the Victorian showcase) in 2007. |

This quilt was made by Fiona D'Aquino of Orange, a design by Michelle Marvig of A Patchwork Heart in Penrith www.patchworkheart.com.au. It is foundation pieced and was made as a wall hanging, so it is heavily quilted with cotton and silver metallic threads in the light and dark blue sections.

This quilt was made by Dot Beasley of Orange. The quilt was started using the Stars and Roses Pattern of Angel Cake Designs, and was made bigger with more borders. It is heavily quilted with lots of feathers, and other custom designs. |

Feathers 3 - this was made to enter into the AMQA Challenge 2008 where it won a second prize in the pieced star section. It was quilted with the help of various rulers and templates to get the initial shapes, and then the feathers and other fillers were quilted freehand. |

Magnolia Magic - This quilt is quilted with a serpentine feather design in the outside borders; with crosshatching between the blocks and an original and intricate feathery design in the centre of the quilt. The fabric in the outside border is the same fabric as is used in the pieced blocks. The quilting designs in the blocks and outside border are from a set design by One Song Needle Arts (Cristofer's Dream) - www.onesongneedlearts.com - and stitched using the Statler. All other quilting is freehand with the use of templates and rulers.
This quilt recently won 1st place in the Custom quilting section of the Australian Machine Quilting Exhibition (run in conjunction with the Victorian Showcase) in Melbourne. |

"Floral Star of 2006" - juried into AQS Paducah show 2007 as a semi-finalist. This was my second lone star quilt (which got a little out of control size wise - it is 2.54m square) which I made when my husband was ill in 2006. The precise cutting and stitching kept my mind busy! It is heavily quilted with feathers and curves. |

This lone star design was made for my husband when he was ill - his choice of design and he wanted vibrant colours! The yellow and orange in the middle make the design "pulse" when you look at it for too long. It was quilted with hearts (for love), and different fillers in the outside black border. |

JAB 3 Tiger Stripes - made in 2007 by Julie Cox, designed by Ann Visman and quilted by me. It has curliques and butterflies on it, and embellished by heat set crystals. The pics are a bit blurry (sorry), but I will get better ones now that it is hanging at Ann's house. |

Feathers 2 - this Mexican star was made from a pattern by Marsha McCloskey from her "Feathered Star Quilt Block 1" book. I have always wanted to make one of these blocks, and it has come out nicely. It is trapuntoed using the cut away method, and heavily quilted with feathers using Bottom line thread. |

This little wholecloth was made for the LACE (Longarm continuing education) challenge in Houston in 2004 where it was voted as the winner. The floral designs are taken from EQ5, and crosshatching is 1/4 inch apart. |

"Cracked masks" made in 2006 using the stack and whack method and a piece of fabric bought in Texas which I absolutely loved. It is heavily quilted with lots of different threads. |

"Fugly quilt" - made by Julie Cox and quilted by me using lots of different threads, including metallic gold. Julie hated all the pink and gave it to me, along with all the scraps, so I quilted it and entered it in the Sydney Quilt show in 2006 without telling Julie. |

AMQA challenge 2005 - made to a specific design and quilted with lots of feathers and background fill. It was voted 2nd in the challenge section of the display, and won 4th in the wallhanging/small quilt section in the Sydney quilt show in 2006. |

JAB 2, made by Julie Cox, designed by Ann Visman and quilted by me using more feathers and feathered heart motifs. Each of the white flying geese have a piece of pellon fussy cut behind it to add bulk and to minimise any purple showing through. |

"Bright Jewels"
This quilt was made using 9 patch blocks received during the 9 patch swap within the Scquilters internet group. It has been hanging on my wall for a while now, but was finally finished earlier this year. It is quilted using both computerised designs (Anastasia triangle design from
www.onesongneedleart.com) and freehand feathers. The threads are very bright and show up beautifully on the back (which is plain black). |
