A new day breaks over the countryside and the sky is painted with pretty shades of peach and yellow. The air is sweet with the scent of green, growing crops, the sun is shining, and the world feels fresh and full of possibilities. Break of Day, the debut collection by Sweetfire Road for Moda, marries inspiration from vintage storybooks with the love of a bright, sunshine-filled day in the country. Dreamscapes digital design by Ira Kennedy for Moda. From the designer: ”I have chosen to paint what can’t be seen. It's not the color I see, it is the color I feel. Not just the shape, but the shapes' meaning. Not the composition but the harmony. The rhythm of dots throughout the painting create an overall visual field which conveys a sense of wholeness, alive with the movement and shimmer of life. My work is to be sensed more than viewed. The paintings are not an object for the eye alone, but an experience for the mind —intimating, not imitating, that which is indescribable.” 51247 13 100% cotton 44-45@ wide

From the designer: My newest fabric collection is inspired by my favorite beaches, and long days spent surf-side with my daughter and friends. I chose color stories that match the beach towns I've visited, the deep turquoise of the New England coastline in Rye New Hampshire, The traditional pinks and greens of Palm Beach, Florida, and the hills above Malibu, bright in the springtime with deep green grasses and vibrant orange poppies. So many wonderful memories are made along the water. I look forward to seeing how everyone uses these prints to tell their own stories and celebrate their own favorite beaches!--Heather Ross 100% cotton 44" wide 52147-9
